Sierra and Keagan’s love story started out as a long-distance relationship with many flights from OKC to Denver. After a year and tons of frequent flyer miles, Sierra made the leap and moved to Colorado.
They started their new adventure by purchasing a fixer-upper home and refinishing it together. Keagan popped the question at Sierra’s grandmother’s house in North Dakota during a massive blizzard, and they began wedding planning straight away!
Their original plans of having a 250- person traditional wedding in April of 2020 were thwarted by COVID. Luckily Keagan’s brother works the land and cares for the cattle at an amazing ranch in Model, Colorado, because it turned out to be the perfect location for their amazing intimate wedding!
The couples’ immediate family came together to fix up the old sheep shearing shed (the location for their reception), and they even had to get a giant generator to power everything up! The ranch was actually around before Colorado lines were drawn up, so there is a lot of history there. (PS Sierra and her crew made all of their own bouquets and geesh they are so stunning!)
Thanks to the 70mph winds and rain, we had our fair share of challenges… A little bit of wind didn’t put a damper on the celebration, though! We were lucky enough to utilize several locations on the ranch and were blessed with rays of golden light after the storm! The ceremony was held over a beautiful canyon in the heart of the ranch, and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
I had such an amazing time capturing this intimate wedding, and the family was amazing! Everyone was so elated to be celebrating Sierra and Keagan’s bond, and you could seriously feel the love shared between all of them. Can’t wait to see their love story continue to unfold and what adventures await this lucky couple.
